:: In a culture of changing styles and fading fads, Sunday worship at St. Andrew’s is anchored in the tried and true foundations of Christian faith and practice. Worship at St. Andrew’s provides a weekly encounter with God through Scripture, Spirit, and Sacrament—blending the best of the evangelical, charismatic, and traditional aspects of the Christian faith. It is biblical and relevant, joyful and reverent, rooted and dynamic.
:: St. Andrew’s order of worship (the liturgy, a Latin word meaning the work of the people) is about God, God’s story, and our place within it. In liturgical worship, ancient practices of the Christian faith meet contemporary application, and the timeless truth of the Gospel finds relevant expression in a powerful way. Portions of the Bible are read aloud. Sermons are biblical, challenging, and encouraging. Collects, psalms, and creeds are incorporated. There is time for reflection and prayer, and Holy Communion is celebrated every week. Worship at St. Andrew’s provides a holy, relational, and participatory environment to love and magnify God with our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
:: The 8:50am Worship Gathering is more traditional. The liturgy is followed in a printed program, including hymns set to traditional tunes. It is approximately 70 minutes in length.
:: The 11:00 Worship Gathering is more contemporary. The liturgy is followed on two projection screens, including hymns set to modern accompaniment and the newest songs of praise. It is approximately 90 minutes in length.
